I started vaping because I wanted to quit smoking. It wasn’t my first choice but I had tried everything; Hypnosis, gum, patches, cold turkey but nothing worked. I could get three months off smokes before I would cave and go back. A friend of mine was a vaper and he offered to sell me one of his old vapes. I was pretty sceptical of vaping at the time but I was desperate to quit smoking and open to trying anything.
My first vape was a Kangertech tank on top of some kind of single battery mod (it’s been that long I can’t even remember). I liked the different flavours, I started trying new things. I remember the first time I tried Vapetasia’s honeydew custard. My mind was blown and I knew vaping was going to work for me!
From there I wanted something that had better battery life. For that, I needed to get a dual battery vape. I purchased a Voopoo Drag box mod and a crown 3 tank. I started making my own liquids and for this, I would need vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol. I started looking around and heard of a store named Super Vape. They fixed me up with concentrates, empty bottles and everything else I needed to get started. I was making my own vape liquid and was no longer smoking, success!
I purchased another vape which was a Vaporesso revenger kit. I loved vaping so much that I wanted to know everything about it. I started researching and quickly learned about rebuildable devices. I went back to Super Vape Store to purchase my first RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) I think it was a “dead rabbit” from memory. I learned about Clapton coils and how to make them although it was easier to purchase a quality coil such as Cloud Revolutions triple 27 coils, and I did just that most of the time.
Once I felt confident with rebuildable devices I started to teach others. I decided that I wanted to work at a vape store. I also became fond of mechanical devices and started purchasing mech tubes from companies like “Purge” and “vapers cloud”
I asked Lee at Super Vape Store for a job and started working in the warehouse. I learned about the different coil systems for companies Like Smok, Vaporesso, Kangertech, Aspire, Geekvape, Uwell and others. I learned about MTL (mouth to lung) vaping and direct-lung. I started trying different companies juices and I started purchasing every new device that interested me.
Today I Have a bookshelf full of devices that I have acquired over the years. Some of the things I have tried this year are the Argus pro and Drag X mods. The Geek Vape devices like the boost, boost plus and Wenax family. The Vaporesso Xros. The Geekvape Aegis Zeus x and Geekvape Aegis Max devices just to name a few, and I’m sure there will be many more fantastic new devices before the year is out!
Today I get to manage a vape store and travel Australia for work helping people find delicious flavours to vape in whatever device is best for them while they save money and feel healthier. The reality for me and many other vapers is that I couldn’t afford my lifestyle if I still smoked cigarettes. I also feel 100% healthier now than I did as a smoker. I wouldn’t go back to smoking cigarettes if they were free because vaping is just better.
